Everyday Struggles

Afternoon Readers,

Being saved is not a death sentence. Everyone has their struggles. It does not mean that when you become saved you will be exempt from tribulations. We all must go through things, some more than others. When you become saved; you have a better way of dealing with issues. You have a clearer vision therefore what the enemy may have meant for evil, God can and will turn it around for good. So if you are looking at someone who is saved and think that there life is "suppose" to be good, it actually is! Its because of that confidence in Jesus. Not all bad things happen to "good" people, but bad things happen to "bad" people as well. It determines on how well you deal. Play the cards you were dealt to your advantage. Strategize to WIN!!!

Be Blessed!

Repetition is your reputation!!

Morning Readers;

Yesterday I was watching this marriage seminar on tv. The speaker said something that I found interesting, "Repetition determines your reputation; if you don't like your reputation change the repetition". This statement is so true.  I began to think about it and apply it to different instances in my life. Some times we can complain about things that we want changed or we want someone to stop doing. If we change us, then the situation can be changed. Sometimes people respond to us based off how they perceive us.  So if we wonder why people do things to us that we don't understand, it could be about who we are. Ex. If you are a mean person who always rejects everything and everybody, some people will be afraid to approach you. You may wonder why that is, its because you have built up a reputation for rejecting people. In order to change this stop rejecting people and be nice for a change. I bet that would change your reputation. Someone will say, "I remember...." Just remember the enemy is always an accurser of the brother.

Be Blessed!

Over-power you...NO WAY!!

Morning Readers,

Lets not allow the enemy to get to us today. No matter whichever form or whoever the enemy decides to use to get under our skin. For some reason I can hear Gladys Knight singing, "Keep smiling, keep shining, know that you can always count on me." We can always count on God to see us through ALL things. He has our backs. No matter what the situation may be. Put it in God's hands and allow Him to work it out. Although, some things are in our control. Those little negative things that we experience, brush them off and keep smiling. Let the devil deal with them. My husband and I laugh at the movie "Liar Liar" when Jim Carey says," Hit me again Ike and put some stank on it." Imagine if we were strong enough to ask the enemy to hit us with his best shot. Sometimes I ask the enemy if thats all he got. Just to let him know he has to come harder. Its only going to make me pray even harder and do all the things he hate. So why bother me.

Use each opportunity you are given to fight to graduate from that level. The bigger the fight the higher the level, BE PREPARED!

Be blessed people of God!

Reflection #4

Hi Readers,

Today I listened to a poem from a guy on Youtube. Its titled "Why I hate religion, but Love Jesus."
(The link is below) I have to say I agree. People put alot into religion. I love Jesus/God tremendously and choose to follow Him. What God wants from us is our hearts. This is probably why it is difficult to maintain a progressive relationship with God. We are not perfect in anyway. Yes we will commit sins, some known and unknown, which is why we should repent daily. I'm not saying repent and then commit again; been there done that. Trust me its not the way to go. If you are going to repent then leave whatever it is alone. Let the devil deal with it. As we read our bible, observe how Jesus treated people. Do we treat others the same; no matter social or political status or color of skin. This is an ongoing, uphill battle. We will make mistakes along the way. Observe, correct, and keep a forward movement! Church is there to keep us grounded and rooted in God's word; to help keep us on the straight and narrow. So with that being said, which side are you on? Think about it!

Tebow time!

Hey Readers;

A long time no write. So yesterday I was watching the 1st round of the football playoffs: Broncos vs. Steelers. People have been downing the Broncos QB, Tim Tebow, because of his respect to God that he displays during the game. Its just funny to me how they make such a huge deal about what this guy is doing and they say nothing about the dances that alot of other players do after they make a play. Wake up people this is the land of the free. He can do whatever he wants its called the Constitution. It isn't effecting his game in any way. Now if you want to critique his game then lets do that and that only. Alot of people say, "Oh he's 8-8 they aren't going anywhere." Well he made it pass the first round. I believe its because he stayed true to himself and his beliefs. He is an inspiration to all kids, adults, and senior citizens across the country. I mean people look up to him in a positive way. Tebow keep it up.

We will always have someone against us. Don't change who you are for anyone. Stay true to yourself.  If you are doing something right, someone is always there to TRY and stop you." So if you have a hater or haters something is going right for you. Don't let them get you down, keep going. When it is discovered just say, "It's Tebow time!!!"

Peace Out!

Bullies

Hey Readers;

I just watched a youtube clip of a kid who is being bullied for being gay. The kid is only 13. He's even attempted suicide several times. Bullying is so ridiculous. I was bullied from 1st - 5th grade. I remember the main girl who bullied me turned everyone against me for no reason. I do remember this same girl kissed me in 1st grade. I felt it wasn't right and told her so. Since then she started bullying me. If I did something better than her she would make me give whatever it was to her. Ex. One day during Arts and Craft we were painting. My picture looked so much better than hers and she knew it and so did everyone else. She told everyone not to talk to me and to just be downright mean and nasty to me if we didn't switch paintings. I didn't do it. I felt I did the work I deserved the credit for it.  I eventually had a semi-fight with this girl. She hit me and I hit her back. After that she hated me even more but I was happy. So what if no one spoke to me or even ate lunch with me but my Godsister. I've seen this girl so years back and she only looked at me really strange. Can we say, "Grow Up!"

I have been considered the outsider for years after. I believe because of the horrible 1st years of school I encountered is probably the reason I locked myself into a box. Not literally. A reason for the social issues I have. I've never had many friends. I've had like 2 main friends at a given time. I mean even now I have 3 really good friends and thats it and includes my hubby.

Bullying needs to stop for real. It affects us in more ways than people know. Most kids bully because they are missing something or not getting enough of something from home. Please readers teach your children not to be a bully but more of a friend.

Thanks Readers

Never Forget

Hey Readers,

I have to get this off my chest...Always include God in whatever you do. Especially if He has given you the means or ideas to carryout your goal. If there is something that you want to do; it would get accomplished with His help. Don't lose focus and go out and do it on your own, so you can get the credit for it. God will cause you to endure many stumbling blocks until you get your mind right. Remember that our lives are not about us but about God. This world is not our home. Don't get entangled with the cares of this world. The bible says watch as well as pray. We His people are in this world but not apart. Many things may transpire in this world. We don't have to worry, because God takes care of His own.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the father, but is of the world.

We are in the world, but not apart of it.

Good nite!
